Cole Stefan still open on college choice

Cole Stefan, a 6-foot-3 senior guard from Minnetonka, is one of the top outside shooters in the Class of 2010. He is getting interest from several top programs, but has not yet had time to make any official visits. STEVEN BJORNSTAD, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Vancouver, Wash., has signed a Financial Aid Agreement with Washington State to play hoops for Ken Bone. Bjornstad said he will arrive at WSU next week and enroll early in summer courses. COUGAR POWER FORWARD DeAngelo Casto, delightfully candid as usual, admitted he wasn’t in the best condition when he tried out for the U.S. under-19 national basketball team. Casto must have done something besides gasping for air in Colorado. KEN BONE AND Washington State got a call they’ve been waiting for on Wednesday. Now it remains to be seen if they'll close the deal with Steven Bjornstad. The Cougars learned Wednesday that Bjornstad, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Vancouver, Wash., has been released from his letter of intent by Nevada, said David Long, Bjornstad’s coach at Columbia River High School.   Full Story

One player is going back on scholarship, another will stay at Wazzu but not count against the scholarship numbers and still another will leave WSU for opportunities elsewhere.
