First Half Notes
Texas came out in a 2-3 zone and Fresno State struggled making just 1-of-8 shots early.
Fresno State took its first lead 9-6 off a Allen Huddleston three-point shot. The Bulldogs made three 3-pointers in the first half.
Tanner Giddings was 2-of-3 from the field. His first bucket gave the Bulldogs its largest lead 11-6 at the 12:26 mark.
Texas used a 7-0 run to take a 17-13 lead that the Longhorns wouldn't relinquish until there was less than two minutes remaining in the half.
Jerry Brown tied the game at 23 with his first bucket of the game. Fresno State forced a steal on the subsequent possession and Texas was called for goal tending on Garrett Johnson's fast break layup give the ‘Dogs a 25-23 lead.
The Bulldogs failed to score a basket in the final 1:50 in the game and were called for two traveling calls on its last two possessions.
Texas' Javan Felix led all scorers with eight points. Kevin Olekaibe scored five to lead Fresno State.
